The level meter OCIO is an electronic device measuring and control of the level of tanks.
It is suitable for any fluid NOT flammable, NOT explosive , NOT corrosive, compatible with the materials of the probe. OCIO detects the level of the tank through the development of a pressure reading, carried out by means of a probe lowered inside the reservoir.
This level meter is a fully autonomous device that requires only one power supply.
The system consists of a tube for detection of static pressure complete of terminal. The tube with its end is inserted from the top of the tank and immersed in the liquid until it touches the bottom of the tank. It is composed of a control unit for the level display and the management of the system, housed in an enclosure of plastic material, suitable for outdoor installation, provided with display (LCD) and keyboard.
Applications
A fluid inside a tank generates on the bottom a pressure that depends on the level of the liquid (L) and from the specific weight of the liquid (D). OCIO reads the pressure generated by the fluid through the probe, maintained on the bottom of the tank due to ballast.
Taking into account the value of the specific weight (D), characteristic of the fluid contained in the tank, OCIO automatically calculates the height (L) of the liquid contained in the tank and displays it. Through a simple task calibration, you can enter the value of the density (D) of any fluid.In the control unit a small electric compressor is automatically activated when needed by the microprocessor of the electronic board. This, together with the presence of a special control valve, always keeps inside the probe the correct reading conditions. A heating resistance, controlled by the microprocessor, which prevents the temperature inside the housing falls below a predetermined value, improving the accuracy of the reading and avoiding problems of condensation on the electronics.
